    Price is one part
    of the picture.

A comparison of labelled protein—not a muscle-equivalence score or a complete measure of food quality.

    What the numbers mean

Cost is the proportional cost of enough food to reach your selected protein target, including the stated shipping assumption. It is not the amount you pay at checkout.

Upfront order is the complete priced basket, including its stated delivery cost. Some good-looking prices require several kilos. A target can also exceed one pack; the displayed basket remains the original comparison basis, not a shopping calculator.

Food amount = target protein ÷ protein per 100 g (or ml) × 100. Cost = order total ÷ total food in that order × food amount. Calculations use unrounded values; display values are rounded.

    Weights, preparation & protein quality

Dry, raw, drained and edible weights follow each product’s nutrition basis. Dried pulses need cooking; water changes cooked weight, not the original pack’s total protein. Tuna uses drained weight; milk uses ml; eggs use estimated edible weight.

Flour and oats remain in the comparison as staples, not ideal protein top-ups. Cheap protein grams do not measure amino-acid quality, digestibility, micronutrients, satiety or dietary variety.

Travel, cooking energy, oil and sides are excluded. This is a price-and-calorie comparison, not personalised nutrition advice.

Evidence, bulk orders & expired offers

This is a dated snapshot of specific products, not a promise of the cheapest brand or a current recommendation. Open any row for its buying source, original dates, nutrition evidence and assumptions.

Split-pea delivery is estimated from a published policy, not checkout-verified. Soy and whey use basket quotes. TVP and black beans assume free delivery from published thresholds; checkout was not tested. The egg price requires Netto+ membership.

Offer status uses the actual calendar date in Europe/Copenhagen. An offer remains historical even before its recorded end date; expired offers stay visible for audit and are marked explicitly. No stated end date does not mean a price is still available.
